Pre-Sixteen Opportunities
Oxplore Essay Competition - Do we Have Enough?
We are inviting students from years 7-9 to write an 800-word response and students from years 10-13 to write a 2,000-word response to the question: Do We Have Enough?
We encourage responses which approach these questions from a variety of perspectives – bring in History, Philosophy, Politics, Economics, Science, Law or any other subject or discipline. Just remember to answer the question!

Post-Sixteen Opportunities
Wadham College Summer Schools - Biology/Climate Change, Classics, and Modern Languages
Even Five day Summer School during which students will take part in an academic programme, live in College, meet students studying at Oxford, and receive information, advice, and guidance on applying to university. The Summer Schools are free and we will provide financial support to students to cover their travel costs. Monday 18th August - Friday 22nd August.

Geography Summer Webinars
Geography are running a series of webinars aimed at different groups of prospective geography students (young carers, Black African and Black Caribbean students, a session for parents). The seminars will be held on 13 May, 22 May, 5 June, 12 June, 9 July, all at 17:00-18:00.
Lady Margaret Hall Taster Days
LMH Taster Days are an opportunity for Year 12 students to have a taste of what it is like to study at the University of Oxford. These free events include lectures and hands-on academic sessions which have been designed and delivered by LMH’s subject tutors. Participants will receive insight into the Oxford application process. Participants will also be given a tour of the college by a current undergraduate student, and lunch in our dining hall.

Oxford Choral Experience
In 2025, the Oxford Choral Experience will take place over two separate days, in July and September. On 12th July, we will look at the admissions process for Oxford, how and why choral scholarships might be relevant to you, and we will start learning some amazing choral music together. On 20th September, for the second part of the programme, there will be opportunities for individual vocal lessons, an example Oxford lecture, and more choral rehearsals which will culminate with everyone singing Evensong in the spectacular Worcester College Chapel.

Big Think Competition
Teddy Hall's Big Think Competition is back! Open to 15 to 18-year-olds in UK state schools, the Big Think invites students to answer one of our academics' 'big' tutorial-style questions for the chance to win cash prizes, boost a personal statement and meet the tutors in a visit to Oxford. To enter, simply submit a five-minute video essay! Entries are open, and the deadline is Monday 12 May.

Keble Admissions Webinars - Summer 2025
Keble College runs online sessions to provide information and guidance on aspects of the Oxford admissions process during the summer term. These offer opportunities to receive up to date advice and guidance on applying to Oxford, and have questions answered by University staff. All sessions are open to Year 12 (or equivalent) currently attending a UK state school or college, and/or those supporting a prospective student in this category. Webinars run throughout May, June and July. Please see below for a list of all webinars.
St Catherine’s Academic Taster Days
St Catherine’s is running three academic taster days in the last week of May 2025. They are free events open to Year 12 students, with academic tater sessions, opportunities to meet current student and to ask questions about the admissions process. Lunch is also provided.

Geography Open Day 2025
The School of Geography and the Environment usually holds a Geography Open Day in June each year with events and information provided for prospective undergraduate students. The date for this year's Geography Open Day is Monday 16 June 2025.
